Polyneuropathy

A disease of the Peripheral Nervous System involving several nerves.

Of its many definitions, CMT is a polyneuropathy. CMT is a peripheral polyneuropathy because CMT is a disease of the peripheral nervous system, and because CMT affects many nerves at the same time, and potentially all nerves of the peripheral nervous system.
