Pathogenic

Causing or capable of causing disease.

This term appears frequently in the CMT genetic test reports. When a genetic test for CMT identifies a nutation in a gene, the mutation is either pathogenic for CMT, or the mutation is determined in the report to not be pathogenic for CMT (non-pathogenic).
